My name is Ra’Shawne Cox and I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker and therapist in Marietta, GA. Finding Your Better is all about exactly that. We often want to do better, feel better, and be better, but aren’t exactly sure what that means or what it looks like. It is my goal as a therapist to assist my client’s in finding what that better is and creating a plan to get there. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, and perfectionism.


This blog is a personal space for me and won’t be filled with statistics and scientific research, but overrun with helpful tools and tricks to manage your mental health (with a dash of a rant here and there because oh do I LOVEEE a good rant). Ending the stigma surrounding mental health has been a goal of mine since I was in the 6th grade. I believe the more transparent we are about mental health the closer we get to doing just that. So with that being said (typed?) my name is Ra'Shawne. That's me at the top of the page writing on both sides of my journal because I have a lot to say. I'm a therapist and my anxiety and perfectionism have told me about 12 times now that this post isn't long enough (I mean how long does an intro really need to be? Like who set those standards?) or good enough, but I'm posting it anyway. If it's not I'll learn and get better, but I won't know until I've tried.
